Welcome to Frio River Access & Parking | Banks of the Frio—formerly Frio River Cabana Park. What began as a family’s lifelong love for the Frio River has grown into a place where others can experience it the same way we always have: simple, peaceful, and unforgettable.

We’re a family-owned and operated business rooted in Concan and San Antonio, with over 50 years of memories along the Frio. From the clean, cold water and towering cypress trees to the deep swimming holes and gentle rapids, this river has always been a special part of our lives. That connection inspired us to become part-time residents of Concan and eventually provide a space on the Frio for others to enjoy.

Preserving the beauty of the Frio is at the heart of everything we do. Our family proudly participates in annual cleanups of the river and Garner State Park, helping protect the natural environment for future generations.

In 2022, we began offering cabana rentals and river access, creating a space where families and visitors can relax without the crowds. After the floods in 2025 claimed the cabanas, chairs, and tables, we now offer reserved parking and access to the river where you can enjoy the river from your river chairs, tubes, or pallets. We believe the best soundtrack out here is the sound of flowing water, laughter, and good company—not loud music.

At The Banks, our goal is simple: to provide a clean, quiet, family-friendly place where you can slow down and enjoy the Frio just as we always have.
